Can cabal be run of just RedHat server without Windows server?

I don't know whether this question has been answered before but I will ask anyway.

Can the cabal files released here be run only on a RedHat server including SQL server? Microsoft has given detailed guide how to install and configure SQL server on RedHat here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql...ql-server-2017

Has anyone tried doing this? Will the cabal server files connect to that database?
