Cannot create a character in my server.

This has to do with MSSQL 2005, when I try to create a character it will not let me. I click the create button after I put my name in, and it'll just vanish with no character created and it's still on the character creation page. I also can't install 2000 because it fails hardcore. My windows XP won't support the 2000, only 2005. Does anyone have a fix for this error concerning 2005?

This sounds like a linked server problem. When you try do you get a mesage about db errors on the bottom left of the screen? Check your linked server settings and make sure the windows ip is in the connection string and not localhost.

2000 should be fine on xp, what goes wrong?
