CentOs VerSion

Good Day Guys,

I am a noob at everything right now when it comes to cabal and linux so i would like to know what version of CenTos i can use for cabal?

Where can i download the CentOs and What is the exact version it needs?..

I have installed CentOs 5.3, it is like windows but i would like to know if i did the right thing.

You can use any version of centos but 4.x is simplest to set up and doesn't give the "initlog is depreciated" warnings that 5.x does (you can ignore these warnings though). Check the bottom of the post in my sig for links.

thanks chumpy, i was wondering what server do you have? can you pm me so i can try your server? i hope i wont be bad at this coz its the first time ill deal with linux, i setup ran, mu ragna gta but this thingy is a little complicated as what i see lol

My server is only a little one that to be honest i mess with really badly all the time so it isn't really that playable unless you know when test times are. At this moment it is down after a horrible session of abuse and i probably won't reinstall until tomorrow now.

Drop me a PM with your MSN if you want to do a little testing though as i can always use a few testers ;)

@-Jumong- : people usually don`t host servers for HUGE purpoces, my example should fit here: i am playing cabal on my server: me, and 3 friends of mine have 6 ch each dbl trans + full craft items, with 5x to eveything and i didn`t dare to alter my items or drops ever. People make servers either for pleasure (solo or team (max 10 players)) or for testing purpoces (chumpy here), and 1% for non-successfull servers (all private servers (elite, gp, gz, mmowebs)).

ready to run you only need to setup the data base read chumpywumpy's guids and it will go ok :D
but be carefull at the md5.dll part put the correct path there :P

i use this for ofline playing :D and i can say it works great upon a couple off crashes off the client

I always need people to do testing. Nothing is worse than changing one value on the server or maybe an enc file and havng to test all shops, crafting and everything else all over again. It's the reason i posted the unified client project as i simply can't test everything myself :(
