    chummpy please glance thorugh this

    hiya.

@chummpy ive followed your guide, and have had partial succsess, i found saurons files after you posted thread thnks.

for some reason saurons files corrupted the enc files.

i resorted back to your files and the tfn-client patched with snaitys patch.
all dbs apear to run correctly to my eyes but to be honest i do not know what a correct set of logs should show ^

i cant see no obvious errors. i try to connect with client , i get to login page i choose server and channel but get no further message on screen says please try later.

    i post these files.

the only thing that i can notice is the sending to a ip address i dont use to auth the server ???.

i notice that the server state does not alter ???
i am of the opinion that this should change to ( 1 ) some were there ??
all my ips are configured properly as to your guide i can ping and connect on 3 pc on my lan to the virt server, i can ping all 3 pc from the virt server.
all dbs can connect to virt and no errors from virt connecting to sql.

any ideas ?? why i cant actualy connect or why server state does not change as this is what i believe is the none entry to trade channel.

    regards peter.

Re: chummpy please glance thorugh this

IP 127.0.0.1 is a special one every computer recognises known as "localhost". To a computer it literally means "yourself" so seeing that in ther is perfectly normal.

The channeltype doesn't change from the default "normal" state (0) because you have a standard channel (i.e. no PK, no war etc.). If your channel was a PK one it would change from 0->1, it it were a war channel from 0->8 and so on. It will only change when the server switched mode from normal to something else.

Assuming there are no errors in the dbagent or globalmgrsvr logs everything looks fairly normal, the login server saw you and auth'd you ok and then closed you about a minute later which looks like it is timing out and that fis your description perfectly.

The error in worldsvr log does remind me of the old login bug though. Have you added the fixed globalmgrsvr posted by youyou? Without that you get symptoms very like this and if i am right keep hammering that login and you will eventually get through after a few tries. This fix has not yet gone into my repack so you might have missed it.
