Database related questions

first of all - why does the "tutorial" have to confuse new users soo much :D
It is way faster to restore backups by right clicking on the "Database" and choosing restore - no need to add them as Backub Devices.


Now the real question - i havent used odbc over linux like that - whats the purpose of the Linked server right now?

Well, for episode 8 you don't need use Linked server...it's useless.

figures... it felt too weird and random... but who knows.. perhaps it may have had sume magical use Oo.

Well, yeah some guides are confusing.

Well yeah... after doing it myself i clearly see that the guide is around 5x longer and more complicated then it should be.
Possibly once iv gotten more comfortable with cabal i might remake a guide, shorter, cleaner and with soem common problem solutions i came across.
