    Yes..your centos cold not reach the DB from windows....(don't set as DB IP local 127.0.0.1 coz it will not work)and like Cath22 said check those things

    This could be a lot of things.

    Open terminal in centos and type "ping <windows IP>" and see if it responds. If it does then check /etc/odbc.ini has the right IP.

    Open "services" from control panel->administrative tools and find the "mssqlserver" service. It should be called "mssqlserver" and not have any slashes in it (like mssqlserver\express). If it has a slash you installed mssql wrong.

    You do know that you are installing the hardest cabal server to install that has bugs and doesn't have all of my scripts? You are going to have problems later on. Look in my signature for my guides (the mssql 2005 one) and my server repack as a lot has been fixed/added to mine.
