Getting Friends Logged In

Hey guys, I've started this project a few days ago and ran into a few errors and i'm hoping someone can help me out a bit.

I've dug up many guides for installing hamachi on linux and setting a channel up for the server. Following these guides, i've asked my friends to all connect to the network and everything works very well (i changed the KeepAlive to 10 to prevent disconnects).

When i ask my friends to connect to 192.168.1.88 (my CentOS ip) they cannot even get past the login screen.
However, when they tried connecting directly to the hamachi ip for centOS, they are able to get past the login and get to the channel selection screen and no further.

Anyone have any ideas about how to fix this problem?

P.S. i have no problem connecting to the CentOS ip (192.168.1.88) and when i try to ping my friends' hamachi ips from inside CentOs i get good results and they never time out.

Connectin to the centos LAN IP will only work for people connected to the local network, 192.168.0.x addresses do not exist on the internet as they are for private LAN use only. Use the Hamachi IP, get them to try a few times and then post the logs from /var/log/cabal and it should give me an idea where it is going wrong.

Edit: I got the server to work, ends up i just needed to run the config.sh one more time and reset the server ip.
however, while my friends are playing in game, when they pick up specific items or try to buy specific items they DC and get error code 6 type 153.
I tried buying the item from the store and dropping it for them but once they try to pick it up, they DC anyway.
Anyone know a fix?

This depends on the client patch you are using. The client has a copy of the game data as well as the server and if they don't match you get kicked. Which client and patch do you have?
