[Help] 2 Cabal Pserver Set Up Errors

    Good Evening Guys,

I was in the process of setting up a Pserver when I got this error. I was hoping if anyone could assist me with this. It seems to be be able to connect to the server.

One thing to keep in mind is that when I was installing SQL 2005 Express I installed it under a different named instance and not the default (it kept telling me I had an default instance name already during installation).

Could that be the reason for error?

Here is a picture of the ERROR 1

    UPDATE:

It seems that I had to change "SERVER=localhost" to "SERVER=Andy-PC/SQLEXPRESS".
    And it worked.

Due to this change, is there anything down the line that I need to keep an eye on?

IGNORE ERROR 1. I AM JUST GOING TO USE CHUMPY'S GUIDE ON REMOVING THE DEPENDENCY ON LINKED SERVER.

    2nd Error

I came across the second error while installing the server files using on CentOs 4.6 using VMware 8. I am using Chumpy's TD-repack v.2.81 since I am following the video installation guide by RON.

I copied the terminal text so that anyone can view the error.
    Please see the attachment.

Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    <ISSUES SOLVED>

Hey Cypher, sorry for the late reply. I was actually testing a whole bunch of stuff.

Anyways, to what you said - yum update. Didn't seem to work and gave me an error talking about invalid base url and such. After a little bit of research, I found out that due to the fact that Centos 4x is old it has been moved to the VAULT and as such, the mirrors in the os need to be pointed towards the vault now. Since I am not educated with linux in depth, I just deleted the install and got the preinstalled cabal server version. - If this is going to be an issue from on or anyone installs servers from scratch, then this should probably be addressed as a sticky.

Anyhow, I went through rest of the process, however, I am unable to connect through the server.

I looked at the logs and DBAgent and GlobalDBAgent show error that it is unable to connect to the database. I believe this may be due to the fact that the instance name on the computer for SQL isn't default one. I have attached the logs to this post. For any extra reference to the SQL Instance situation please refer to the first post. Also I still haven't removed the dependency of linked server.

Update- After some more research, I ran the script chumpy posted. It seems my sql is a named instance. However, I tried reinstalling sql like 20 times. It refuses uninstall corretly. Everytime I attempt an installation it says the default one already exists and forces me to create a named one.
    Attached is a screenshot.
