[HELP] confused in WAN ip to connect in game

I can manage to connect to my game if I use my centos IP but when i try to connect to the game by using my WAN ip. i cant login..

You most likely can't connect when you use your WAN ip because your router doesn't support loopback. In that case only way that you can have players from both LAN and WAN play at the same time is using something like Hamachi.

thanks for your reply bro but i dont have any router. my mdeom is connected directly to internet..
my modem is Zyxel provider DSL.. Thas why I am confused why i cant login in game when im using my wan ip

try to test it with friends, you cannot connect using your lan ip, try to go to another computer using different isp then you will see that you server is working, if you set your server to lan ip you can connect.

you cant enter your own server because 1 computer 1 WAN ip .. so you need to read this guide of dordort http://forum.ragezone.com/f460/want-...it-now-503850/

so you can play your own server .. im not sure to this but try it

i think that is a waste of Precious Ram and CPU Process, It will just double your server load.

my friend try to connect to my game he's in his home. i set my IP's to WAN but he doesnt connect.. is my settings correct? please examine.. thanks for the reply

The ini files are fine. This sounds like the loopback problem.

Try using the centos LAN IP in the 2 spots in the WOrldSvr ini and your internal.txt and see if that lets you connect. If it does then put it back to WAN and get somebody who isn't at your house to try, if that works then it is definitely the loopback problem and you will need to use Hamachi or a proxy.

i tried it. i can connect to my game if i use centos ip. then i set it on lan and let my friend connect to the game but he cant.
i think i should need hamachi. i downlaod your pdf on how to install hamachi and i have 1 question..
you said the make a directory in home/cabal using winscp ok im done with that. but where can i see the hamachi linux files?? i tried to search but i got error when i type make install in the terminal.. what the prob with that?

sir chumpy in my terminal i can start the hamachi but i cant login.. how to solved this?

I'm not that good with hamachi as i hate it myself. I only did the guide as installing the linux end is tricky and nobody had any idea how to do it.

The logs are showing connection attempts now but the server is still using your WAN ip and not the Hamachi one.

First make sure that the server is showing up in the Hamachi window as it won't work unless it is. Now run cabal_config again and when asked for the ip players will be connecting to enter the centos hamachi ip. Your client internal.txt should also be using the centos Hamachi IP.

yes but my hamachi linux cant login on hamachi windows so i need to login first the hamachi linux in hamachi windows before i start setting the IP's.. any idea guys.. thanks for the reply sir chumpy
