i keep getting this error when i'm trying to login "WinSCP"

dont use localhost ip, use wan or lan ip with the right ip.

hey i used my wan ip to connect but i'm getting connection timeout error now

Make sure you have connectivity to the virtual machine by pinging it using the "ping" command. You won't be able to connect if your physical computer has no connection to the virtual one. 192.168.1.254 is a VERY odd address for a computer to have, use something smaller like x.x.x.50.
