    Re: Help networking the CentOS

Well I just did it like this (I have static IP):

In VMWare set the connection type to NAT and when I installed CentOS just set the connection to automatical detection and thats all. It might be already set to automatic so I dont know...^^

If you want to know the IP then just in the Terminal type: ifconfig

You can use automatic ip adress in CentOS. You got 2 different bridged mode in VMware, did you try VMnet0 instead of VMnet1?

With VMnet0 it connects directly to your networkcard and gets a own ip adress from your router, but VMnet1 shares the ip
