Help. Problem with Chaos Lamp for Global service

Hi, I'm using Chumpy pack. Manage to start up the server and connect client to it. Everything seems ok until i got a Chaos Lamp for Global service drop from mob. I can't move the Chaos Lamp for GS in my bag, right click on it has no respond. Then i decided to use GM Tool to sent a Chaos Lamp for GS to my character, using item ID 1310. However, when i right click on the received item, it stay in the Temporary Inventory and cannot be extract or move. I check the World??.log in cabal server, it show the following error:
[##ERROR##] Cash Item Period Error!: CharacterIdx(8), ItemIdx(1310), Serilas(0), total(674095497), year(9), month(3), day(28), hour(13), minute(1)

Anyone know how to solve this problem and also how to fix the dropped Chaos Lamp for GS cannot be extract by right click on it?

Look in /etc/cabal/docs for my client files. Different client enc file versions can have different data and if it doesn't exactly match the server data you can have problems like this. My server files are aligned for this client patch at the moment.

Initially i'm using EU client, then i copied your clientfiles in Server pack to the game client, but still the problem exist.

So i downloaded US client from GP site, and copied your clientfiles in Server pack again to the US game client, but still have the same problem? Any idea how to resolve this? Do i missing any important patch?

Strange. I'll test again but i have never had any problems opening the global service lamps, though i do sometimes get the item period error depending on what i have been messing with recently.

i`m using your patch for a while now, none of my clients reported any bugs.

There are a few i know about but this isn't one of them. The client files i released were pretty much old ones with all of the buggy things disabled as i would rather have stability over features. I'm working hard on the client at the moment now though so expect some new things soon ;)

I too am using the chumpy repack, us install from ogp, and your client files, and I got a chaos lamp, right clicked it and it went to the premium item list, accept it now I have 2..

it`s normal as it`s item type is a instant item with period of 2 hours.

Thanks for all replies. For your information, i still have the same problem after a brand new installation.

I have tried with (1) a new CentOS install, then install Chumpy's server repack 2.5. and (2) using the CentOs+Cabal VMWare files, but all gave same problem.

So i guess maybe it is the client that giving problem. Info about my client setup:
- Install Cabal Online using US/GP client
- DIDNT run any official update
- Applied RZPatch to my client, tested, problem with the lamp.
- Then overwrite my client with client files from Chumpy server pack, tested, same problem.

I wondering is there any client patch that i'm missing?

p/s: Everything else work nicely.

Regarding your problem, we need more informations on your running system:

1. What serverfiles do you use (and what version)?
2. Please provide your logfiles (/var/log/cabal/*.log), renember to scramble your IP and MSSQL credentials.
3. And just wondering, is there a time offset between your cabal- and MSSQL server?

If this is the bug i think it is then keep re-opening the lamp. Eventually it will give you an item but you have to try several times as the server data we got for the purple lamps was bugged.

I can't remember exactly where it is in optionpool.scp now (it's fixed for the next release) but if you look up the tutorial here for editing chaos lamps you can use the same trick to fix the purple ones, the rates must all add up to 100% ;)
