How to connect to server via wan ip?

my server works on lan only

i ready lot of thing in this forum to make my server connect to wan
that y post this thread if anyone here can help me.

i try the step using port forwarding to my modem
n then change the serverlist.txt ip & internal.txt ip to wan ip (What Is My IP Address - Shows Your IP Address)

and then i do /home/cabal/cabal_config.sh via winscp to my centos to config the wan ip(What Is My IP Address - Shows Your IP Address)

after that i try to connect = FAIL]

anyone plz help me.. thanx

You can't join your OWN server using your own WAN ip, the only way is to let a friend test.
The reason you can't do this is because it can't listen to both LAN and WAN connections.

download hot spot shield and install it
turn it on and try agian

i already test it via hotspot shield before~ still cant~
is there anything need to configure for hotspot shield.
i never use it before~ dunno what to set there~
all i know is install n then connected~
if i want to try to connect from my pc friend~ did i need to install the hotspot shield too?
plz someone there help noob here

i use it and it work perfectly
but u need to do 2 vmware machines centos and windows server 2003 for sql
an config the centos to connect for it
