Remove all of those steps, please.
Only EST I guess. They have their sources, they can fix that. If we can use their fixes, then our problem solve. For the moment, we can't stop it imo. Even if we block CE players will use other memory editing software.
give yours players honour rank 8 and they will not be able to stack any more...but you need an sql job to keep the class to 8 coz they will try to lose the honour
its simple make all characters above class rank honor 12 - 13 problem solve it will disable honor points betting in duel
This is not the stacking hack, this is a duplication hack.
Namely, players can simply copy any equip-able (they all are now equipable due to the lvl 10 honor to stop the stack hack) ring, bracelet, or earring by giving up a single HP pot, giving them the possibility for simple, cheap mass duplication.
I do have one possible suggestion (and I'm more or less new to the server side of this, so I don't know anyway to actually make a fix/test it) that could maybe slow it down, but seeing that something else like a "Titanium Blade" (and other items I assume) can be used as well, my idea is shot.
There are 2 ways i know to duplicate items. The first can be cured by removing the "fixlogin" trigger from the cabal_auth_table as it shouldn't be there.
The other method is trickier to fix as it requires a patch to the database itself and the only fix i know can cause problems. It's something i'm looking into.
Simple answer when you find hackers, kick+ban.
Hmm, lemme suggest a edit on my first idea:
Saying the "change" happens at the prefered point, would it be possible to have the server run a check of the total number of (important, +4 or slotted) Bracelets, Rings, and Earrings at logout and then recheck those values at login? If they changed (grew), maybe place the character name on a list for admin to review? I assume this might cause server load issues, but with my limited knowledge, it's the only fix I can think of.
And when you have people making separate accounts to dupe/sell while keeping their main "clean" is a real problem that kick/ban doesn't easily solve. <_<

They duplicate using ******. Now you have a duplicated item.
The prevention is yet to be discovered.
By blocking memory editing tools you reduced the duplicated item. However that doesn't stop them, players will just come up with new idea on how to bypass your protection.
I doubt it can be cured on DB because the problem is in the client. Nonetheless it is not impossible to find a solution.
And yes, its already spreading some of them had succeeded in retail servers as well.
This will kill private servers in my opinion.

Hmmm..... anyway thanks for answers... BUT! i can tell you one thing...
If cheater/hacker will do a mistake when he try to dupliacate item he will have an error and dc, Error 150,151 or 152, and i think this may be helpful.

Heres a thought, now that we can unpack/repack the Enc files, we could try make the items account/character bound but those only sold from item mall.
Example: Accessories with extra stats + account bound.
