    I'm back, almost there!

    Allritey theeen :>

    Almost everything is done.

    MSSQL is working.
    Centos is working.
    My server is working.

    BUT!

    I have no channels xD.

I'm using the ready-to-go centos, I configured it and I selected when it asks what type of server to add, I chose 1, Mercury. I log in with my account, but the "Choose a server and channel" screen is empty.

Tell me what logs/or where I should look and i'll do it in a sec. I'm psyched i'm so close! <3

I used that one already. Channel 11. But after I hit a mob -> D/C and the channel disapeared.

It should not be necessary to edit any ini file by hand using the ready-to-run vmware image as everything is done via cabal_config.

I woudl suggest upgrading the cabal install on centos to my 2.5 in my sig as the vmware you have only had the preview of 2.5 and is missing the really good bits. After that is done, if it is still happening zip up the logs from /var/log/cabal and post them so i can take a look.

    Sure, will do.

I'll check back in an hour or so. Thanks!

Now just to be sure. I copy them on the centos via Winscp, and then use the commands bla bla cabal_install.sh and hit upgrade right?

Yep, correct. Remember to run cabal_config again after the upgrade so it sets everything up with the new features ;)

    Heey!

It's up and working. Everything is fine. I've made a char and I'm not getting any errors or d/c's.

I've looked around for some stuff but I don't quite get it.

Here are a few questions. I've made a WA, made him lvl 154 using your GMtools. Everything is good except this :

The premium in your gm tools is not working, I had to edit it manualy, I think it's me.
How do I get my char to class rank 18?
How do I add more sword exp and magic exp points? (The WA is dbl trans, so no problems there)

    That's it for now.

    Re: I'm back, almost there!

The GM tools work fine but the prem types might be not what you expect. Try a type of 1 as that is the better one.

Editing class ranks is far from easy as you have to decode a fairly complex binary value. Skipping right to the top rank also means you won't actually do the nation select or aura select so you will lost those. I would suggest manually doing the quests to avoid problems.

You can add more skill exp points using the gm tools but don't go over the max as it will cause problems.

    Re: I'm back, almost there!

Ok, the quests aren't a problem.

I can't see the pannel with the skill info in the GM tools. It's empty. That's not good, right?

New problem. I D/c when I finish a quest from o'conner. The third quest, when he gives you a free skill. It happens to the WA only. The rest are fine. So you might wanna check it out, chumpy :)

Ah yes, the skills window is empty as i never got around to writing that bit. Other people beat me to it if you hunt around the releases section you will find a few things, not tested any of them myself though.

The d/c is client + server data not matching. We do still have a few of these depending on what client you use. We really need a standard patch. Whenever i fix one bug it breaks other stuff though :(

I see. Getting other bug's aswell. I'm not sure, but I think it has something to do with some of the files, because I haven't seen anybody else ask about these.

New problem. Bladder first dungeon quest, when the instructor sends you on a "first try" dungeon. When I kill the mob that is needed for the dungeon to be over, i crash to the desktop. Should I upload my logs?

    Re: I'm back, almost there!

Use a clean, non-updated OG planet client and my patch files from /etc/cabal/docs on the server. That is my current test client.

Upload logs if you like, the more logs i see the more i will learn ^^

    Re: I'm back, almost there!

Did what you said. Still the same thing. OGplanet client and your client files. >.<

Ok so I did some testing and here's what I got:

For future people who want to try setting up a server beware what values you add to the exp, drop, craft, etc multiplier when you config the server in CentOS. It can cause crashes. :)

I'll check back if I get any other errors/crashes.
