Installing MYsql Server probems - I think from windows

I have an acer leptop. Acer 5735 . I installed windows Xp but sounds dosent work.......... and I cant find the drivers many people have my same problem. So I installed Last Xp version 22 it works verry good. Vmware is installed the single problem is the sql server. At the final of the setup before the finish button it gives and error saing : The server could not be configure. And the setupd stops and I cant turn on the server or manage it.
Anyone can help me please?

EDIT: MISTAKE i meant Microsoft SQL server Evaluation Edition ( Itried enterprise and personal editions whit cracks)
EDIT 2: Download MSSQL 2000 torrent hope it will work if no then I know its from my windows

why are using mysql, Cabal uses MSSQL.

Errors during the install of mssql 2005 and later are almost always down to .net being broken in some way and fixing it is always a lot of trial and error. I have seen people get stuck by removing .net and then it refusing to install again :/

2000 doesn't use msi so you might have more luck there. Most of us use 2000 anyway. I have just checked 2 of the more common torrent sides and found sql server 200 developer and enterprise editions and either would be ok (i would go enterprise though).

The Acer FTP site is pretty good and should have those drivers you were after. Look in the "notebook" folder.

yes use MSSQL 2000 thats what Cabal uses and its less complicated.
