local server and hamachi only on windows

sory if such post exists already but i couldnt find such posts.

im wondering if i set the centos+windows things for server to 127.0.0.1 (local-only to me) that would allow only me into server ...
but if i let someone login to hamachi which is running on windows part would they be able to login into my server?


i just want to open a simple test server.
and i cant get hamachi to login on centos so..

Hamachi tried an update, at the moment, you can't work with hamachi on CentOS

but what if i dont use hamachi on centos?
just put the whole server on local ip 127.0.0.1 ?
and then let someone connect to hamachi on my windows? would they be able to login to game that way ?

EDIT : ok i got the server working ... its running fine... but somehow i cant connect with gm tools to my mssql dbs to make a new acc.
using 2000 MSSQL
installed using default instance(sa)
used mixed mode password(entered my own)

tryed loging in to game... worked because sayd account does not exist.

but the problem is how can i use gm tools now :/

Use MSSQL 2k08 or 2k12 and check your firewall settings
