4 month's ago i change my server machine with 16GB ram memmory hoping to increase channels to 8... but it appears a mystery ;(
channels again crashed (restarted) when memmory reach ~8GB or ~9GB ;( wtf... server machine have 16GB... and can not fill them... only to 8GB and crash...
old machine have 8GB and everything was ok... maybe
and hope everything is fine i bought this with more ram... but..
any ideas? ;(
Do u got windows on machine and open CentOS whit a virtual machine?
What is the memory usage of the Cabal server processes? I guess the worldsvr is probably the worst one.
Knowing roughly how many players you have had online since your last reboot and average player counts would help me if you know the numbers ;)

i test with two machines one desktop with ddr3 16GB and this 1U with ddr2 16GB and is one and same
Use the "top" command and see which processes are using the most memory. I know the worldsvr processes will be high but I want to see what others are.
8-9gb does seem pretty high for ~300 users online. Are you using normal numbers of mobs or do you have lots more than normal? Do you run fairly standard files (compared to my repack) or do you have lots of custom stuff?
I have never seen such high RAM usage using my files so I think you have something extra which is eating lots more ram. If you don't want to put lots of secret server info here PM it to me instead (I keep secrets well and I don't run my own server so I can't steal anything ;)).
