    Problems with Cabal

    Hey Chumpy,
    I seem to be having several problems with my Server... I hope you can help me

    1) I tried playing with a EU Client and it shows 5% on an enchanted amp item but when I open it with my NA Client it displays 7% which is correct but sometimes some other NA clients are showing 5%. Is there a way to make this compatible for both?
    2) Phillippino clients are having trouble opening chaos lamps of global services as EU and NA are fine
    3) DC at the 4th Warp Gate at times (With all clients)
    4) Extract potions in Dungeon DC's people
    5) How do I Hex Edit the game to enable Alz Shop? i'm having problems and it's showing me Warehouse Alz not available all the time. I can't hex edit the game with my hex editor and find the code you were describing... I can't link it into my game :(
    6) How come the website you have for the reg page always say 0 players online :(

    That's it for now that I can think of

    To fix your first 3 problems you must use US client (get OGplanet client, because its the right version) and use chumpy's patch what was included in server files ( they are located at etc/cabal/docs/clientfiles ). You can also try sauron's patch if you like, here is the link for it. And btw 5% is correct value of amp in our server files.

    4) You should just remove the extract pots from drop list, because theyr stacking is broken. You can do it just by deleting them from drop list or by using drop discount. Here is the link for chumpy's guide, how to use it.

    I tried with the Chumpy's Client files and it still shows the Enchanting at 5% instead of 7%.


    is there Chaos Arena and FT B2F ??

    5% is correct value for amp and crit dmg. And no, there are no chaos arena or FT B2F.

    5% Amp and Crit can't be right... in many other servers is 7%... when I use the other client I have it shows 7% Magic Amp that I have... but when i log in with my NA client it shows 5%... But realistically this is going to confuse people.

    Can someone help me Hex Edit to point to www.CabalDynasty.com cash shop? I tried many times following the tutorial and when i finish saving it tells me that there's an error.

    To be a little more clear about the Amp values it depends entirely on the client and it will usually be wrong. The server applies the bonuses it has in it's copy of the game data but the client doesn't display what is in the server info. The client displays the bonuses it has in it's enc files regardless of what bonus the server is applying and as different official servers have different values different clients will show different things. Until we can edit enc files there is nothing we can do about this really short of making sure everyone has the same enc files.

    The bottom line is that you should not allow your players to use different client as it will definitely lead to problems as you have found with the PH client. The bonuses are not the only bit of info held in both the server and the client, almost everything is, and as each client has slight differences in this data you cannot align the server data for all clients and so some clients will always have mismatched data. This even goes as far as slight differences in the map files in the client (the lamp-in-a-wall bug).

    This is the same problem as the 4th door d/c, again the client enc data does not match the server data so you get kicked. It is all becoming a real problem as no matter what i do to fix one bug it breaks something else and i suspect i will never be able to perfectly align the server with a particular set of enc files until i figure out how to dump them from memory so i can analyze several different ones instead of just the one dump we have.
