Remove Instant Formula Cards in NPCs

Hello guys,

I'm using GP-client with Sauron's patch and as i go around NPCs in game, i see formula cards in the shops (those browish, shape cartridge formula cards on the bottom of NPCs). Is there a way to remove all those FC without using chumpy's guide on editing individual NPC? Thanks everybody for your help!

If you are using Sauron's patch then you can't remove it.

Cause Sauron's patch is a patch converting your GP-client to Chinese client. Basically means you are

playing a enlgish base Chinese clinent.

Most files and data are still set according to Chinese client. In Chinese client, those formula cards

are sold in by the NPC.

If you really want to remove it, the other way is to patch with a GP-client pacth post in the forum.

There are actually still items in the official EU NPC shops that don't have any use (shape change carts), all of the client have a few oddities like that. Unfortunately we cannot modify anything in the server NPC data and make it different to the client enc files or you will get a d/c errors. We need an enc file encrypter before we can do any real NPC editing :(

@cyber37: which GP client patch are you referring to? I see 2 of them on darkxl's server files/guides/Gm tools page under "client GP cabal in english" which of those is correct?
@chumpy: thanks for your explanation. i still get d/c when i try to pick up Red/Blue/Green key or buy stuff at mithril merchant in Forgotten Temple and can't fix them. Can you help please?

The problem with d/c errors is that the client and server data don't match and the fix depends entirely on which client you use as the data in the clients can be different. There simply isn't a fix that will work for everyone unless everyone has the same server data and the same client which is one of several reasons why i started my repack in the first place.

If you use my server files then use a clean US client from ogplanet and put my patch files (/etc/cabal/docs/clientfiles/) into it. This is the exact client i use and my server files are synced to it. If you use another client or other server files then you are going to either have to make your own patch using saur0n's patch and amend the server data to match whatever client enc files you use (lots of time and work needed).

I'm using GP-client and saur0n's patch for client, and also your server files v.2.5 but i still got d/c. Do i have to use clean US client instead of GP one? How can i make a universal patch for all clients?
