Try MS SQL 2005 instead of 2000.

Yeah, I have my Database running on MSSQL 2000 x32 using Windows 7 x64 and using the 32bit version of xp_md5.dll.

This works absolutly fine and I have never had any problems at all. So therefore, I would recommend this version.

Also, you can do MSSQL 2005 but I think its WAY too complicated for some users and beginners just starting off.
