Re: Switching Server
I should have watched my mouth and not said/talked shit to DeadlyData telling him things like your are not welcome here because then I become the one who is truly not welcome here.

Re: Switching Server
I dont think it should mess up the db for you at all,, Myself i have 1 comp for the database and 1 for the server + a friend of mine have a gameserver at his place and he is pointing to my db too. So we can play on 2 different serversetups :-)
I use the Pluto server option with 3 channels my friend use the Mercury server option with 2 channels
and we have no problems at all.
But if you are afraid of loosing them, make a backup of the db first then you can reinstall server

Re: Switching Server
using the v2 there is cabal_config.sh, which does most of the settings.
There are several pre-made config and I think one of them is 1 regular chan + 1 TG
I think as long as u back up your DB, there sould be no problem, u can always go back to your previous set up.

Re: Switching Server
If you want to upgrade to v2 of my repack all you do is copy the contents of the ep2 folder to the root of the centos machine instead of copying everything and using install_cabal.sh. Only the ep2 files have changed sso you don't need to redo the whole install.
Once done delete your old gen_config.sh and gen_config2.sh so you don't accidentally run the wrong one. Run cabal_config.sh and follow the questions about ip addresses and you will be asked which config you want to use. Jupiter (4) is 1 normal channel and 1 TG channel.
You don't need to touch the dbs at all for the upgrade but backing up is never a bad idea.

Re: Switching Server
The new version has the same config for 24, just select it at cabal_config.sh and you will have the same idx. You can switch back and forth by re-running cabal_config.sh too.
