Ubuntu guides?

Hiya guys!

I was wondering if u could create a server on an ubuntu machine (ubuntu ver. 10.04) And the centos would be in a virtual machine (virtual box)?
Could Mssql run under whine or is there an linux "version" of mssql?
Cuz that's all i need right? the SQL server and the CentOS server?

Actually that topic says that the management studio will run under wine, not the actual database engine itself. Last time i checked the db engine wouldn't run under wine and even if it did i would expect stability problems liek you get runnig native linux apps under cygwin.
