Hi elvise, thanks for quick reply, after reads the log that you mention and I found out that there is few error like this:

    [##ERROR##] connect 127.0.0.1:38170 fail

There is few others port which failed too. Anyway I already port forwarded, why is it still failed? please advice, thanks in advance!

I'm able to solved all the error that can found in log file, however, I'm still not able to connect to the channel. I checked, my port is forwarded, IP is correct, and can connect to my database (or else it will not be able to login right?). My log don't have error, and it appear to be 'sync' for the ip connection.

Anyone that advance in this matter can help me up? Appreciate for the helps.

    Re: Unable to connect channels

    Hello,

These are the ports I have forwarded on my router as I host my via WAN.

    38121 NETLIB / CHATNODE
    28101 NETLIB LOGIN SVR
    38111 NETLIB WORLD SERVER
    38125

Centos Side if you have Firewall turned on.

    38101 and 38121

Try setting the internal.text to your LAN IP 192.xxx.xxx.xxx
Or if you use your language.enc type LAN IP there.

    Ping your CentOS side
    Ping your SQL side.

Make sure your firewall is off and try.

Sounds like a simple connection issue.

Hope this helped you out,and did not confuse you.

As I use two separate computers to host my server.

1 for windows SQL, Other for CentOS

Your logs are your best friend, and will tell you everything you need to know.

If you need further help you can pm me, and I will give you a hand.

Hi DevilSpeak, thanks for the reply. I forwarded port from range 38101 - 38190 in my router(as i know start from 38180 is channel).
My internal.txt is using ip 192.168.xxx.xx, previously I have try to ping for SQL side and also centOS side and it seems like ok.
One more thing is that, i off my firewall for both window and centOS, just for testing purpose.

I check on the log every time i try to connect, but the log just looks fine (previously i solved all the error that appear in the log), but still when come to connect the channel, it appear to 'failed to connect server'.

Btw, im using cabalmain v22, start using start-cabal.bat and using parameter bricklee. But one thing to ask is that, if i using internal.txt then I will not using language.enc? (somehow i confuse with that). Another question is that for the port right, should all be port forward through TCP? or I need to put for both TCP/UDP?I'm using TCP now.

Thanks for the reply, your post dint confuse me instead it make me clearer on those things. Sorry for long post ><
    why
Seems like simple connection, and that is why I duno why it cannot connect to channel.

This has been discussed far too many times...

Most likely you've told the cabal server to listen on your WAN IP, but then you're trying to connect via LAN. Google search for "site:forum.ragezone.com cabal lan wan solution" if you want to connect locally while also allowing others to connect.

Hi Yamachi, sorry cause I just joined this forum few days ago, and I also tried to keep google on this, yet din't get any answer. Thanks for your hints, it is useful. But for the wan lan connection solution which I read about, need download dll from the megaupload (closed by us government), so guess I don't have luck. well, I will find more info on this.

    Thanks a lot ya!don't blame a newbie

    Re: Unable to connect channels

Hmm... Megaupload going down really screwed up a lot of our releases... Anyways, I know there's a few people here that have the DLL, so hopefully they'll reupload it :) In fact, I think one of my RL friends has it. I'll ask him.
