hey guys i been searching on rZ for the last hour or so for a voting system, now i seen some servers have voting systems where u vote n get coins/credits/money
now what i wanna know is how they got it is there like a website script they set up* if so mind sharing*?
if not or theres some kind of other method or w/e lemme know and ill be ur bestest friend :D
That is custom code written to try and get their players to vote in the top100 and that sort of thing. They have written it themselves (not hard if you know a little php). Nobody has released anything like that though as most servers choose to leech what they can from here and give nothing back to the community that gave them the server in the first place.
Ah well, at least there are a few like me who don't think like that.

There is alot of guys that think like you Chumpy. I myself are very greatfull for the files that are provided here on Ragezone.
And Thank you from the kids that play my closed server for just the love of the game. Nothing here is 100% complete (As in download and has all fixes) It take alot of time and hard work to setup a private server as many developers and people here know. Making a profit from these files is just wrong and this is why the top servers dont give 2 craps about a development forum that is open to the public.
I respect the hard work you and other moderators and developers have put into this Cabal Section. I spend hours an hours reading on this section and many others and Hands down Ragezone is the best thing for guys that love mmos and want to have there own server. +10 to you guys and now I step down off my soap box.
Offtopic yes, but those are some kind words and i feel obligated to respond without punishment. Hearing things like that is nice, it helps remind me why i do what i do here :)
You are right that many servers want to keep what they have as it makes their server unique and some do it for profit. It would be nice if some of them could share a few little things but i suppose it's against their nature in a way.
I am more like you in that i just want to make a good server for people to play. I'm just going to keep on doing what i do but there are so few people actually working on improving the server+client (as you say it's not exactly 100% stable even, let alone secure) it just takes so much damn time.
And just to bring us back on topic i do have an idea for server ranking/voting which i am toying around with at the moment. The cash shop needs a lot of work before i can carry on with my other ideas for it but i have a way of doing a really great server ranking system which is on the list of things i need to do ;)
