Winspc and PuttY not connect

why????
i configure ip of the server to 192.168.2.2... and when i start service cabal (from centos) i open winspc and digits 192.168.2.2 it talk me "the network connection refused".... why?
i look my vwmare connections:
wmare network adapter vwmnet 1 => 192.168.0.1
wmare network adapter vwmnet 8 => 192.168.2.8
connection to local network (LAN) => 192.168.2.5

what is wrong?
where i write 192.168.2.2 ? or where i look the ip for the server?

Have you check the Firewall and disabled it..?

To check your IP on Windows use the "ipconfig" command in command prompt. To check on Centos use the "ifconfig" command in a terminal.

If your windows computer has an IP starting 192.x or 10.x then set your virtual machine to use "bridged" networking and if it starts with something else use "NAT" instead.

Last type "setup" in centos and go into the network wizard. Set it to use dhcp (auto) instead of giving it an IP and it will ask vmware what the correct settings are.

ok perfect... this i resolve =) but why when i start the server centos... and open cabal ... it crash and:
cabal VMware Workstation unrecoverable error: (vcpu-0) Exception 0xc0000005 (access violation) has occurred.
....
i go on edit=>preference => WORKSPACE:
default compatibility hardware=> workstation 4 (i use 4.7)
...
now i try with COMPATIBLE WITH ESX SERVER...

nothing... i have install with your guide the your server pack... but nothing... i open cabal and crash... but now i dont see the error on vwmare:

the server now remain online...

chumpy i need very assistance now... cabal continue to crash when open... and is possible the problem go on database? in mssql server the server is ICE ... <= is a name of my pc... on centos i insert ip... nn ice..! help me please...

try using workstation 6, works fine for me

ur problem is ur datbase is not match with the current files for server or files enc from client are not match with the serer,thats way after 1 minute the vmware crashing ;) go here : www.mediafire.com/chumpy ,download from here the database files and repack 2.81 and download from google vmware 7 ,and then downlaod lost spirit patch,then it should WORKS FINE!!
