Hi since a few days i have succefully set up a loong private server .. i followed the ultimate tutorial and all seems to work. all ports are forwarded and i can reach it over the internet. but when i try to login i get a server maintenance message.. anyone know how to get the server out of maintenance... ?
if it says under maintenance it is not setup properly.
believe me its setup propperly .. ive had 4 l2 servers setup and developed by my own ... i know how to setup a server .. :) the validation to the server is going ok but then it says server maintenance .. i dont get it?
EDIT!!
i found a thing that can be the reason but cannot solve it ...
a few secs after the loongworld.exe starts the loongdb.exe disappears is this normal ??

Nope. Not normal. Make sure you have run LoongDB.exe as administrator. What are the file sizes of the following files :
Mine ( working ) are :
LoginServer.exe = 212 KB
LoonBillServer.exe = 68 KB
LoongDB.exe = 196 KB
LoongWorld.exe = 1700 KB
Could be you are using old/outdated exe's?
L2 is way more easy to setup and maintain than Loong. Trust me i know i setup alot of different servers developed custom made antihacks and improved servers for a very long time.Originally Posted by Matsuga

EDIT : LoongWorld.exe is 1740 KB when you right-click -> properties.
It shows as 1700 KB in explorer, because it is rounded down.

hi there im a friend of matsuga and we checked the file sizes ... there just as big as you described them to be. what could it further be ? or do we have to begin again at the start of the whole tut ?
That is the only thing I can suggest.
Start over with everything, making sure that you follow the tutorial step-by-step. Also try to write down what you are doing step-by-step so that you can refer back to it later.

For now, ignore everything to do with RTService or RTServer.
You don't need it to get your server up and running.

Even though it is not complete, it is enough to get the server up and to connect to game.
