Re: updater > pstale
Wrong folder.
makeups.exe needs to be run with the client source folder as PWD, and pointed at the inetpub download folder. Not the other way around.
That's why you need it, and LhA in the path, because otherwise it would try to distribute its' self to your players. XD
-o: indicates the "Output", where the "Input" is always, "where you are, right now". (the path before the >_)
So you should end up somewhere like:-
Code:
D:\Games\Priston Tale>makeups -o:c:\inetpub\wwwroot\pstale\4197\updatefiles
Leading to
Code:
UPDATE_VERSION=4197
UPDATE_PATH=http://69.162.71.xxx:171/pstale/4197/updatefiles
UPDATE_INFO=http://69.162.71.xxx:171/pstale/4197/updatefiles/setfile.lst
UPDATE_DIRINFO=http://69.162.71.xxx:171/pstale/4197/updatefiles/setdir.lst

Re: updater > pstale
I did the way you told me and I put the client in a full uncompressed pendriver went to Dos and did the command you said and another error
f: \ my client> makeups -o: c: \ inetpub \ wwwroot \ pstale \ 4197 \ UpdateFiles
Found short patch output switch.
No supported YET!
the altoria your own program that creates files upw? I have to put the files in the zipped folder my client? the LHA.exe gotta be in the System32 folder with all the files from the zipped makeups coming? sorry I am a layman in this subject and I really need your help to finish the project

Re: updater > pstale
It actually says
Code:
Found short output path switch.
Not supported YET!
It is a bug. Specifically, it's a documented feature which I never finished implementing.
So... Both input and output are fixed. It should be run from the client folder, and will create update files in folder called "Update" next to the folder from which it is run. (ie. "..\Update") and specifying input or output is not "YET" supported. XD
Sorry about that. It has been a long time since I stopped developing that.
