MYSQL is a very complicated program, i remember having to run a command through CMD that changed the password to MYSQL admin program, that may be the problem your having, seeing as how its saying "Access Denied". I would look into it. The program should give you an error # which you can use in the reference manual to better understand the error your getting and how to fix it. Also makes sure your RO configs are set right to access the mysql database, I am pretty sure you know all of this but, you would be surprised at how many people forget the little things.

something wrong with your SQL settings, bout your problem
you don't have ragnarok@localhost for the SQL server that is
very important to connect your server to your SQL server
make all previlige for your agnarok database insert all the query
that located from your server files and execute them, main,mail,log.sql
then set up the password that compatible the password on your server
files in char.conf and map.conf, then goto the SQL open your database
then open the login table and edit put the same username and password
with your server files....
