Help with NPCs/creating patcher please.

Ok i followed the guide in the stickies for creating your RO server, After that i got my server online through port forwarding, then everything seemed to be going smoothly.

which are relatively similar. But after following what they stated in those guides and when i logged back in-game, the NPC's were no where to be found, I have tried several times, replacing my NPC folder with clean ones, making sure the "//" are removed etc. Please advise?,

Also My second question is realating to the patcher.
How can i create my own patcher? is there a guide in forums that i missed, or is that not in these forums?

I don't think I understand what the issue is.

Are ALL your NPCs missing or custom ones you want to add?

If ALL NPCs fail to appear then this can occur due to client version mismatch (I came across this issue on eA by another user). Make sure your X-Ray client matches packet version with your server settings. I recommend you try a packet V8 client just to figure out if this really is causing the problem.

If only custom ones are missing the post the related configuration files please.

Regarding patching, I recommend you check out the Thor Patcher. Go here and search for the Thor Patcher.

All of My NPC's are not there, i downloaded the Datafull_v3 from the guide in the stickies... i know that is where the client pulls the scripts from, and i know that the server pulls files from the Conf folder, which redirects to the NPC folder, and pulls NPCS from there. Every guide i have followed on the forum, about adding npcs didnt work for me. I cant find any NPC's at all, nor when i follow a guide to every detail do i get any type of error, i just cant get the NPC to show up inside the game. Please advise.

Ah, that's easily resolved. Like I said, it's probably a client version mismatch. The guides here regarding adding NPCs are for adding "custom" ones (if I'm not mistaken). And I also noticed that most guides don't have updated links regarding client files.

For server files, if you don't know how to compile them yourself, I recommend you try out BowieBowie's compilation located here. Make sure you pay attention to his instructions regarding each release.

As for client files, go here and here.

Look around the forums at eA if you're looking for more client stuff. Since they're the official boards, you can't miss much there .
