    adding new maps

hi i got problem adding maps, im using arcturus. idk why i cant put the oro clanfield and rameses workings map

i even put the correct value on stb

    and on its folder

but when i run WorldServer its still can read/ cant find it

idk maybe arcturus is bugged or something?
ps. i put the rameses map/ oro clan field to other map and it works(replacing other maps so i know that my maps are working)
, i wonder why i cant add more maps, or arcturus has maximum map number of 79?

    Re: adding new maps

For the fact your server doesn't show the map there might be 1 small error somewhere in your STB, or STL maybe ?
    Code:
    Junon Clan Field 3DDATA\Maps\Junon\JG08\jg08.zon start restore 0 Sound\BGM\Plain01_junon.ogg Sound\BGM\Plain01_junon.ogg 0 3Ddata\Maps\Junon\JG08\minimap.DDS 30 30 3DDATA\\JUNON\\LIST_DECO_JG.ZSC 3DDATA\\JUNON\\LIST_CNST_JG.ZSC 100 0 15 55 70 1 1 2 Clan-003 6000 LZON011 4 4 0 0 25
Thats the line of a working one try comparing it to the line you have issue with.

About the fact the GameServer can't connect to the WorldServer its basicly linked to port forwarding.
check your config files and the port you used then forward them on both TCP and UDP and it should be fine ( if you did not change should be something like 19000 19005 and some others.. ) these have to be forwarded for the 3 parts to communicate to each others.

    Hope it helped.

    [EDIT]

Is your LIST_MAP_S.STB correct too ? Its a server side file.

    There must be one.

Its inside the language folder somewhere in your SHO folder.

    Re: adding new maps

I've never seen a file called LIST_MAP.STB in any Rose version
    It has always been LIST_ZONE.STB

However there are a whole load more STBs that have to be edited

LIST_SKY.STB needs to be edited for sure. you need to add references to the day and night sky domes.

A lot of the LIST_TERRAIN_***.STB files need to be edited (*** being wildcards. There are quite a few of these files. Some definitely relate to many maps and you might even need to add a few new ones that you find in the donor client that already contains ORO)

Some of the LIST_CNST_***.STB files may also be different since they deal with specific objects that are used in various maps

Any related STLs although those will not stop the client from loading. They will just give bad names if something is missing

    Re: adding new maps

My bad.... Yes list_zone_s.STB... I'm sorry for that mystake.

Depending on what maps he added yes some other files might have to be edited too yeah.. But if he did not add maps that are not using the existing TERRAIN or TILES file or map models or something like that the client should load the files properly.

So yeah.. Have a look at your list_zone_s.STB and tell us if it matches your client's list_zone.STB

sorry again for the mystake. Must be tired too hu youko?

    Re: adding new maps

Arcturus has a hard-coded map limit - it ignores any maps past a certain number. We fixed this quite some years ago but I can't remember what that number was (it was relatively low, probably 80 or above) or what we patched to fix it as we haven't used Arcturus in 3 years now.

Harry, upload your server library file. The gameserver DLL file. I know how to remove that limit. Using the bratok files you can add at least 99 maps without being bothered tho...

    ^seconded.
I'd rather see and understand the problem than just having a sweet dll.

    Re: adding new maps

Then one of you should upload a clean SHO_GS.DLL file and a zone_s.STB, I'll make a small tutorial using hexcmp and a modded file.

Although, for most cases, under ID 110 maps can be added without any problems with the files that have been released until today. Unless you don't know how to edit properly your list_zone_s.STB as it is the key, I mean the 1st thing you HAVE to do to know if your server can read it or not.

    here ya go.
This is raven's dll so its pretty standard.

    EDIT :
Lol actually raven fixed the map limit in his dll already so here is a PURELY basic one :

    hij.

up this thread. been a while for vacation.

well in that case, its ok to me if my DLL has a capped of 79 maps..
for now my problem is.. I cant make a PK map.

, i stole some maps on other rose , and i make them working on my client.
i cant make them a pk map. the GS only reads map numbers 6 = training grounds, 7 = luna battleground , 29 = desert of dead , 59 = luna clanfield, 66 = eldeon clanfield etc.. as a PK map

well i cant make the other maps PKs working.
maybe some other can work but it has problem with DC bug, you cant normal players(you will dc) unless you use double click+skill

if you know what i mean for those who are expert in arcturus.
