Proper guide

Hello all ... first time post in this section of RageZone. I have been working on various servers in the past but all based on KalOnline but a friend of mine told me Tantra was a good game so I wanted to see if I could actually set something up based on the files that have been released here.

I don't see a proper structure in this forum for Releases, Adverts, or more importantly GUIDES on how to setup a Tantra server.

I don't know if its because files are incomplete or if people are just plain greedy and don't want to have others run a server (and them be the only one).

I want to setup a test server on my computer and I have the following specs:

Intel Quad Core 2 2.66ghz (x4 obviously since it is Quad Core)
8gb Ram
Windows 2008 Server Enterprise
Micrsoft SQL 2005 Enterprise
1tb of HD space

From what I have read so far Tantra seems to require alot of resources. Will the specs that I just showed be enough? Or barely?

Also if someone has knowledge in setting up a server could you either please post a guide on how to do this or contact me and we can set something up. I would be more than glad to have a Tantra Private Server running for the community.

Again, I am a n00b when it comes to Tantra (but willing to learn) but my technical knowledge is great (I work in IT).

I am not NEW to forums and do know what a SEARCH button does and how to use it...the fact that searching these forums didnt come up with and good results is the reason that I am posting...

BUT I kind of figured I would get the "typical" response as you have given me.

I personally try to help people out. I am on various other Forums on RageZone and normally don't give the typical response as "read the forums and you'll find the answers" especially when the answers are not there OR not clear.

BTW: It's becoming clear that this forum was NOT made up as a resource center where people can come to learn and setup a server. It's more of a show off area to Brag "I have the files and you're not getting them...cuz I paid for them blah blah blah..."

If anyone does help out...well then I thank you in advance!

there some guides but all very incomplete and it does not have here but and every one does its work and must right to reserve itself to share them or and here it is the case the few that arrive or we got to have something we did not share xd

so if somebody wants to you to share something I doubt (it) then this in its right and then if it does not look for your own solutions the archives estan there only there that to work in these another options are that you buy some archives that the users of this part of the forum sell

the file as of now is incomplete...or should i say...the others completed the files but they did not share it...
why? because they spend a lot of time completing it..not to mention the money involve...

as for myself...i don't really understand why this game is very special that in order for you to have the complete files...you will need to spend cash for it...while the other games only requires you time to spend ^^...in fact i know some people here that already use their money to have a parts of the files...
...but sad to say...they still need to do more...

yeah...you're right...this section becomes a brag section....but you will also notice that it will also become a leecher section(the reason why i stop posting here for a while)...^^

...if you read all the thread here...you will notice a post similar to this -> 'send me your files to my email myemail@email,com'. at first...we always say..the files is already posted and its working...but you will need to search for it...

but the same old line comes up everyday and we're tired of answering it all over again.

so what happened? almost all people who know how the files work...stop posting..and some close their thread to prevent others to flood their thread with spam or nonsense post...

ok let's go back to your query....if you are really interested in tantra online....it will help if you read all the thread in this section...starting from the old one....

i didn't ask you to search...just read all the post ^^....it will tell you the progress of the development of TPS....specifically the big changes of the old file setup to the file as of now...

now if you're looking for a good guide and files to setup, look for the thread started by the following people: snaity, omen, zbtzb. like i said the file is still incomplete...but it will help you to setup a working server....and it is the reason why there's no new guide posted here...this section already has a guide and files posted by the people i mention above ^^.....

ok...i'll repeat my same old line...YOU HAVE TO SEARCH FOR IT...this section is very small...you will not have a difficult time finding it....

ummm...btw...i think you will have an easy time working on it....since as you have said...you're an IT...

i'm also in IT field ^^

Thanks for your input on the matter. I understand completely. I do most of this stuff as a hobby so really if I don't get the help I need by searching (which I should find as you are saying) well I won't get too upset either...bottom line it's only a game...NOT Real Life...so I won't get myself all worked up like some other users have gotten.

Others claim to have spent lots of time and money on it...well too bad for them...obviously they're taking this TOO SERIOUSLY.

Anyhow, I will have a go at it...and if anything postive comes out of my research well I will definately do my best to give back to the community here as I have have in other communities here on RageZone (namely KalOnline which is also hosted here)
