Need help regarding server

hey so i finnaly got my server up and runnign its been a couple of days now its doing fine i learned that the path update version has to match the bindserver version for the window to even open up but u were saying to someone that they cant make a room and saying something about the client needs to be the same version as the server version?

i was just wondering like how would i fix this or what exactly does it mean so for example
client 840.04 and server 840.04 im guessing im open to hexing if i need to but again tsukasa i thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and drive to have a forum on pangya server its something ive wanted for a long time and you made it possible because you provided that info again thank you for everything you do and ofcourse i understand about annoying people with questions but we all start out that way right and if possible with a server version tomahawk if its already known again appreciate support and posts im a 3d model designer and architecht so im thinkign about modeling some new chars for the pangya servers with clothes and accesories but i understand alot has involved with hex iff and ofcourse the client needs to be able to support so everything u contribute allows me to be one step further on my project thanks again:) and everyone else besides tsukasa

The client version question has been answered in the Common Beginner Questions. Basically you need to set the supported client version in the database to your client version (easier than doing it vice-versa).

If the latter part of your question is about using newer clients (> 4.9) on the old 4.9 server - that's a no go. The client protocol was slightly altered to lock people out. You'd need to go with emulators here, if you can find any.

The 4.9 client is also very easy to modify because there's a ton of tools available to edit/convert/unpack/pack stuff. :)
