use a hex editor.
Add new line........
just copy last one and paste it with same size...

depends which one... 216 item.dat had no offsets to edit, 223+ needs offsets/block size for all subsequent blocks to be edited.
Resource and character has no offset issue nether.
but where would have to paste the line you copied?
at the end of the line of Hex?
AT the end of the block section your adding an item to. For example adding new helmets you add new rows to the bottom of the helmet block in hex. Then that would break every thing below and you would have to correct the offsets.

for the resource edf is so easy i am not sure at what stage your having problems. Copy paste at the end of the section its simple.
-.- stop begging to be spoon fed and just try it ur self trial and error we wont help u setup a fly by server just so u can make a few bucks if u wanna really open a server learn for your self or listen to what people are tellin u and try it your self dont beg people to do it for you
