get the models, textures and animations, then add entries to resource.dat to get them linked. Then in character dat and monstercharacter.dat crate the entries and stats/name etc for them. Then create their spawns if u want to and loot tables.
ya but its not as easy as it sounds :D
not if nubs dont know how dpman hell migt be easy for u and me but we been doing it longer he hasnt so its not gonna be easy to add lines if he doesnt know how
use your logic, with a simple example like this ..
instead of one monster without overwrite the client code.
but you have to change from the MSH, BONE, and Tex.
I was going to not respond to this thread at all, saying was "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all"
But felt compelled.
I think dpman is saying it's not that hard editting and getting that stuff, but a lot of the people on here anymore aren't 'true' developers.
I know there are a handful that have been deving for years. and taken the time to learn the stuff. Trial and errored their way until something finally worked.
But it seems lately there's a large group of newer ones that suddenly decided "hey i can do that too" and come on and ask the same questions over and over, yet never actually 'learning' what they're doing.
Like in this case, adding the mesh, texture, ani files for mobs is just about the same thing you have to do for anything 'new' you're adding. same concept, same set of steps. yet they can't seem to put 2 and 2 together. (by the way GMkidnik not getting onto you for asking a question)
I have seen dpman, nov, agony, msd18 try to be helpful, I can even see the frustration in their posts when they answer someone, who just doesn't seem to be getting it. It's actually quite aggravating. sometimes I feel like i'm on my own forums dealing with players
it's one of the reasons I stopped coming here as often and when I do, I may point someone in the right direction, but I don't actually explain in full detail everything. They'll never learn it otherwise.
i agree with you...
Code:it's one of the reasons I stopped coming here as often and when I do, I may point someone in the right direction, but I don't actually explain in full detail everything. They'll never learn it otherwise.
just trying to start something with an existing file.
edit it, mood it,..if you got an error. = you're wrong
and if you cant resolve,
Pour a cup of coffee. and try again
