    Is Codemasters sueing servers

    Hey,

I heard from a friend that Codemasters is very strict at private servers, and they will try to sue every RF Server. In an article from 2009 I read they aren't strict at all because they do not see private servers as a threat.

So, my question is: Is Codemasters sueing RF Online private servers?

    Thanks

Codemasters can't sue private servers because they no longer have a license to run rf-online. Only ones that i think could sue any private servers would be CCR and they too busy working on 2.2.4 and don't give a fuck about private servers.

Codemasters stopped running rf back in 2009 when CCR opened its playrf EU/US server.

Codemasters was very strict, yes. They even went as far as getting this section on RZ disabled for some time via a threatened lawsuit. Now it wouldn't matter, but back then MentaL couldn't do anything but close the section. Codemasters no longer has a license to RF so it doesn't matter anymore anyways.

CCR really doesn't give a shit about private servers. They make way too much money from playrf.com to even see private servers as a threat. I'd estimate at least half of the active player population on playrf.com uses the cash shop, because you simply can't win if you don't (unless you play in large coordinated groups).
