i have tried win 7 and win8 with same server files....
they have different errors
win 7 is success and win 8 is fail....what about 2003 2008,,,etc??

Win7 and Server 2008 (same core) should work fine unless you want to run win8 or server 2012 lots more plumbing you would need to tweak
Thought I would test this theory of 2008 OS all I have been using has been 2003.
So far all I get are side-by-side errors I have installed the vcdist hmmm not sure why 2008 R2 is having so many issues

im still using windows 7 for my server, win server 2008 r2 its very expensive :D
I must be missing some feature on 2008 not sure at this point might have to stick with 2003 until I figure it out.
2008 and win 7 has same kernel - its the same OS in a different suit.
win 8 and 2012 are different and you can expect soemthing to break or mess up with RF.
Iv only used 2008 amd win 7 with some 2005 in the past.
I know I said that already above,
anyhow I fixed part of the VB problem now just need to work on database connection and I'm done. still 2003 was alot easier :)
