A3 Server - Links Configuration Problem

Hi All,

I was trying to install "Raf71 Server Files" server...

Please help me in sorting out the problem im facing in configuring Links...
I have followed the entire guidelines given, but only one thing is missing, "first time" folder is missing but still the Accounts folder has 1000 folders... is this a problem???

So i proceeded to the next step of running 01account.exe file in A3 Links folder... i have configured the tdb.ini in the "D:\a3server\ASD\7770" folder and the content is specified below:

While trying to Connect to DB Server, im getting the following error:

I have configured the DSN's properly and even registered (Even checked in registry entry)
I have installed MS SQL 2000 + SP3....

Please guide me to complete the process

out of curiosity i have raised this thread...

Now server is running properly
the client path provided with 5 different parts were not working, so i tried to patch the A3.exe(with 127.0.0.1) with titanium client... but its not working

sry to disturb u once again

do we have any seperate client for the server i tried to install???
if you have, please provide the link (It will be very useful buddy)...

Try the A3GS client.

I have reuploaded the ArA3Client. Please search the forum you will get it and then download from there!

Hi,

I have downloaded the client and after patchiing the A3Client.exe to 127.0.0.1 (changed the IP in six locations), im getting "Cannot get version information" error...

i didnt find any ip address in A3.exe file...

is there anything needed to be done

You didnt hex it properly. Thats the only error. Manually hex it. Dont use any tool.

Hey insane.. I am a newbie, I'm too getting the same problem though i installed BDE..My operating system is Windows 7 and using SQL 2005 Sp3..

I hope you read everything i had in that thread.
Read first two post very carefully.

Than read Read Me.txt in server files.
Than read Run Server.txt in server files.

It will be solved in no time :)

Hey sorry for the late reply.. My server is running fine.. The problem is with the server 2005 options..

when we create a3serial login, by default, "Enforce password expiration" would be selected..just unselect it and the problem is solved..
