[Help] Connecting Problem while Log in

Hi everybody,
First of all, don't come to me saying "USE SEARCH", because i searched a lot and all i found are threads with ppl saying USE SEARCH and not helping.

My server is almost done, no errors, just one.
The famous "connecting..." problem when trying to log in.
I USE:
-Server Files 205 (From spanish guide)
-ARA3 PARTIII Client

I Hexed A3Client.exe, changed the 3 IP's to my WAN IP.
Even my friends can go to Login screen, and they get "Connecting..." too.

This is how the things are: (Mainserv, zoneserv, etc..)

now every client is ara3. grab a real ara3 client. most likely yours is patched, like most of the clients. also, make sure firewall is down.

akaruz and legendary guides are good enough (in my case I used akaruz guide).

btw if dont find what are you looking for in the forum its because you did the wrong search, or used the wrong tool. if you are serious, you should find many posts about this issue.

(this is like the three laws of thermodynamics: you cant win, you cant tie, you cant forfeit).

I have the real Ara3 client.. from that link on File Front..
Their guides doesn't say a word about this problem..

Anyone else can help me?

What Rudy said is perfectly correct!

Now-a-days all A3 Clients are being patched withe ARA3 Patch and being distributed. Let me explain what happens when one does this. When one patches the client, all that changes will be the look and little modification to the game files that have been made by the patch creator. Nothing else. The actual ARA3 client will have target locations which will not be patched by any patch until the creator concentrated on it.

There is only one solution to your problem. Get a client that is compatible. Try the real ARA3, GS or the Arthas client. These three are perfectly compatible with the A3 2.02 Server.

And please restrain from speaking in that manner to other people here. Rudy has a million times more knowledge about the game and the server than you do.

You start your server to fast, thats all.

When i start our server noone can login, when Rudy starts it its fine. :P
Wait some time before starting each exe and it should be fine.

Im hosting the REAL ARAIII client on filefront, maybe he has thatone? ;o

theres 1 little issue about the real ara3 client (since we have mentioned it). Fabio made a patch after the first month of the ara3p3 server. That patch is lost and I have no clue of what it was supposed to do. My client is the original release by Fabio, unpatched. It even has the mask and the rose at the loading screen.

I had a nightmare when I started to investigate about a3servers because I *thought* I was using ara3 client and it wasnt. It was ara3 patched by botgod (aka GameHaze client). Took me three days to find it out, and it was akaruz who realized that.

since then, I have learned that all that akaruz says its a *pointer* to a solution. Its up to you to follow the path. So far I have done what he has suggested me and I have succeded.

btw, check your ODBC entries as usual. you have a wrong one (at least one).

How many times I have said this: if your server has no errors, it doesnt mean its running correctly.

1. ASD - Wait for 10 seconds each
2. Login Server - Wait till ASD Middleware connects
3. Login Agent - Check if Login Agent is detected in Login Server
4. Zone Agent - Check if Zone Agent is detected in Login Server
5. Main Server - Wait for 5-10 M/L lines depending on your RAM.
6. Account Server - Wait for 7-15 Lines depending on your RAM
7. Zone Server - Wait till the 0 Valued M/L lines end and another 15-20.

Ok, Thanks Rudy and iNs@nE. I'll look for a compactible A3 Client for my server.. My Ara3p3 client is patched by Hades Server =\.

The start thing is Ok, everything seems correct, and being detected.

Ok, Now, with the new client (GS), we both can't enter the launcher, it has that "Cannot get info from server" in Updater.

I Edited the IP's in A3Client.exe and A3.exe
I don't know what is the problem..

A3Client.exe needs to server IP.
A3.exe needs the updater IP.

If you dont have an update ftp use somone elses.

rename a3.exe and replace it with your old a3.exe (the one you used yesterday).

I did it, we can reach the login screen, but, again.. CONNECTING :\
After that, i changed every single ip on the server files and a3Client.exe to 127.0.0.1 to check if i could login. And guess what? Connecting!!

I'm loosing the hope =\

i tried running a server and client on a pc with onli a p4 2.4 ghz and 1 gb ram... lagged alot lolz....

Strange. If you do have the perfect client and you still freeze at connecting is strange. Do one thing.
Hex the A3 Client.exe and search for "target" beside that, there is a location. Just check if it is pointed towards C: or D: or someother drive. let me know so i can help you reach a solution.

@ leroylim, dunno why it lagged for you. i for the first time did on same config comp but didnt lag for me. 1 GB ram was more than sufficient if you wanna play offline. Maybe it lagged for you coz your page file is very low. set it up to the max 4096MB and then play. You'll get un disturbed play experience :D

hey insane, did you see what I said? its an ODBC problem. server doesnt know if the odbc entries you use are poiting to the right databases, you will notice this only if you check the log files.

check the screenshoots again.

OMG! I am really sorry. I was taking this problem to be of that ninth order guys.

Dude, I saw your screenshot just now. Your problem is simple. Your Login Server is not compatible. It should show <LA> and <ZA> lines too indicating that the login server is connected to both Zone Agent and Login Agent but yours do no show them. Check your ports once again. If they are all right, then restart login server. IF that doesnt fix the problem, then get a new login server from somewhere! This will 100% fix your problem

Login Server should show like this:
ASD Middleware Connected XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
Agent Connected xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
<LA> ..... (missing in yours)
Agent Connected xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
<ZA> .... (missing in yours)

which means that your login server is not able to detect your login agent and zone agent. Try getting a proper login server.
