Re: [AD] Vintage MuOnline| Season 6.3| Exp:3x Drops:10% Classic Gameplay| Fresh Openi
This is my second week playing this server and here are some pros and cons from my side.
Pros:
Awesome low rate server.
Friendly players.
Server where normal drop items from LT7 will be your top gear till level 300 (which I personally like).
No Rage Fighter. A lot of people enjoy playing with it, sadly.
Cons:
No Soldier buff. I personally don't find it as a con, but for some people it is. It may be frustrating for some people to start playing as DW or Summoner (level 1 - 50 at least).

On average around 48, on a active day we get around 60. It has been growing week by week!

A few changes were made after maintenance
- Phantom Buffer is now available for new players until level 200 (super easy to up)
- Custom spots have been boosted with a lot more mobs for new players
- Mana pots now come in packs of 50 for less repot and more rushing lvl
- Dragon event has been boosted, better reward more frequency

Hey this might sound kinda stupid but maybe you should just reset the server. Not many people are on the server anymore. Last time I got on was only 9 people and probably most are multi account. Start fresh with all the latest updates you have applied since launch. If need be just give all current players a exp boost for a certain amount of time to make up for all the lost time. Would love to continue playing here but not much fun when there's only a handful of players.

Hmmm I will ask everyone who is playing now to voice their opinion and we will see. I had to ban several players for abusing multiclient (no need to have 12+ clients open) and hogging up all the good lvling spots.
What would you guys like to see if reset?
Re: [AD] Vintage MuOnline| Season 6.3| Exp:3x Drops:10% Classic Gameplay| Fresh Openi
Ok sounds good. I think the server is good as in exp/ drop rate and no rf so those I think should stay the same.
1)Maybe increase box of kundun item drop slightly. (Kinda sucks dropping full inventory and not getting 1 item).
2) Make the large mana potion back to +10. (I think is +50 now?).
3) keep the elf buffer but make it cap out at maybe lvl 100.
4) finally maybe add a box of heaven into the game that drops low lvl items up to +6 just to help people get gear so they stay longer.
Maybe if you do decide on doing a reset of the server give it a few days before you start it up to advertise it's starting over so more people join from the start. My bad for typing this on RZ but can't load the forums page on my phone.

I wouldn't mind a reset. Just keep everything the same with exp and no reset. I left cause of the no player base but maybe more people show up if you start fresh. Also don't do opening event were you give people jewels/boxes if they reach a certain lvl. Turns alot of people off since this is suppose to be a hard server.

He doesn't know how to run a Hard core server, it's obvious. The server were just great when it starts simply because it was close to the default settings of MU ONLINE. However, every event and change that the Admin made afterwords were turning the server into a joke. Then, valentine event, made all our efforts to gather a set and combine wings into a waste because of the items that you could get out of the hearts. People were complaining but he didn't log in for days to hear them, then the event run for few more days after it's deadline because again, he didn't log in at all.
All that made the players leaving the server. He made changes to bring more players but they were even worse. Reset is a must, fixes on the bugs are even more major.
However, I wouldn't bother playing the server since it's matter of time till he screw it up again because of the lack of knowledge and vision how a Hard core server and it's events should looks like.

The only complain I ever received was that the server was too hard. I was actually online at least an hour a day but nobody wanted me to do any type of events (BOK events racing etc), only a few people participated (3 to be exact with 50+ being online).
There aren't really any bugs? So far the only one we have is about angels which is being worked on now.
I have no clue who you are in-game but a lot of people left because of these few individuals who were abusing multi-client especially during heart event. It is hypocritical to call a server is hard when you have 15 clients parked farming stuff for you and taking away from other peoples gaming experience. Everyone complained about this and that then when I change it they still complain, and the complains were coming from the same people.
Most common complains:
- We need Elf Buffer
- Too hard to get decent sets
- Too hard to get jewels (yet according to logs only 1-2 players actively went to CC, very few hunted WW)
- BOK rate too low yet noone participated in BOK events I hosted and no one wanted quiz events.
I cant make people do stuff, I did my part and made a few key changes after each maintenance but people complain about everything.

People didn't want you to make custom events since the players who prefer low rate server like to work for their items, boxes and so on. I already pointed out that people aren't going invasions cause of the drop rates and you said that you "can't force them" to do that. You don't have to force them but simply make the invasions rewarding. If we spend the effort (and potions when it comes to the higher level monsters) to look for goldens and kill them and all we get is zen, of course most of the players will get discouraged from even going.
MU has enough in-game events happening as is, there is very little need of custom ones especially at the very start of a server. Giving out free shit (there were a few people running around with demons that were unobtainable through any in-game means btw, no clue what that was all about), especially at the start of a low rate server is beyond silly. You can do events once there are more people, but if you wish to host custom ones, make it something that's engaging and requires effort. Make a PvP tournament for example (again, only once there are enough people). You could also get people to form parties and spawn strong monsters in some place (arena for example 1 monster in each cage). The first party that kills the monster gets some reward - requires effort, team work and the reward has to be decent. Of course, these things require testing and careful planning - in the case of the PvP tournament, there have to be brackets, you need backups, specific rules about pots, buffs etc. With the PvM one, you would need to think where people will respawn, will repotting be allowed, etc. More often than not, people would be willing to help with testing and will be happy to participate, but once again - these things should only start happening once there are enough players online.
The standard events that MU has (mostly talking about BC and DS here) require people to play actively and to have strong parties. The biggest problem with that on this server was that EE gear was pretty difficult to obtain and almost nobody bothered with low level BC and DS which is where the fastest leveling usually comes from on new servers. The invitation parts (again, just like I said in my forum post) were pretty difficult to come by especially for the new players, so I suggested adding +1 +2 and maybe even +3 parts to some vendor.
Also, about the bugs - at first we could do parties in vulcanos but the monsters were incredibly weak for what they dropped, then the next day we couldn't do parties (i assume you had something to do with that), but the monsters remained the same strenght-wise. We killed a few but it seemed like it wasn't what you inteded us to do and left.
And finally, about the 15+ clients - you can't even run more than 10 clients without going through the troubles of setting virtual machines etc. I ran 10 at most since it was the set limit and never attempted to go beyond. How is this taking away from other's experience again? I had most of these clients within dungeon2, where almost nobody ever went and only our main party (which was only half mine, mind you) was in a "popular" spot. Popular being in quotes since we were pretty much the only people in a map above aida, because you made custom spots in all maps up to aida and everyone else, even the ones higher level than us simply hanged out in aida for easy exp/hour and more drops.
It might seem like everyone was criticizing you but we were just trying to help, since we liked the server a lot. All of the suggestions that me, pwnflakes and that other guy posted in the forum were accompanied by explanations on how they can be implemented so they are both balanced and enjoyable for the player base.
