Kupo is a private FFXI server based off the 2003 retail feeling with only CoP and RoZ expansions active. The server is 100% free and there are no donations at all! We aim to emulate retail very closely with the only variants being a few quality of life changes. We strive to be 100% bug free and have two developers with over 12 years of experience working on the server. Come play FFXI the way it was meant to be played!
Come experience the hardcore days where leveling up actually meant something and HNM’s were actually hard. Teamwork is required to equip yourself with the best gear. Hack and slash your way through nostalgic content like the dunes and crawlers nest. There is a server wide linkshell that all players start with a pearl for.

All players start at level 1, with 10 gil. No handouts will be given out to players. There will be no events that make you overpowered so you can go solo HNM’s. Everything you get will be earned from hard work, just like retail. GMs will only interact with players regarding rule infractions or bugs. Build a great community and accomplish great things!

KupoFFXI is run off a modern server with 2x E5-2967 v2 (24 cores), 256GB DD3 RAM, and SSD’s in RAID 10. We also have a separate test server running a clone of the main server for bug fixing. All this leads to a 99.9% up time with the server only rarely being restarted to apply tested patches! Live backup’s every 30 minutes!

Guess I'll bite the bullet and try this out. Been having a bit of urge to try this again after so very long anyway.....after playing FFXIV for a bit. With the server rates being like the official server, getting people to play is going to be quite a feat to pull.

By the way, does this server go through all of the FFXI expansions?

Also, you might want to add some screenshots from the server on your post before the admins here decide to close your thread down.

This server only has CoP and RoZ expansions active and we don't have any plans on opening new content after that. In its current state ToAU is pretty bad on all private servers, missing lots of content and very buggy. We are trying to capture that true legacy FFXI feel!

NorthernLights is this mean We dont have to deal with the Bullshit Ass-shit-ta program just to stay connected with your server? also very private server for FFXI that I fully tested were were shit and keep dropping there serve connection very 2-3 min or worse server drop in instant. how do we know if this not another epic fail shitty ass server ? and yes ALL FFXI Private server were Garbage and running onAshita crap. So come on mate give to me straight, Is your server 100% wort the effort or just another Ashita cross over crap ?

Here is my experiences and feedback opinion of this private server
after good testing the server and playing the game. its really nice to go back to the old school of final fantasy 11 and on how this game is meant to play......
how ever.... putting a restriction on classes is really uncalled for this private server. if you want to go old school then this place is for you. but as for me this place is nice but its not my cup of tea because they put on restriction. I rather have a private server of Final Fantasy 11 to have all the Classes open including Treasures of Aht Urhga and Wind of Goddess quest and there classes open. I always loved when we had Treasures of Aht Urhga and Wind of Goddess with the classes of Bluemage, puppetmaster , Corsair , dancer and scholar classes and had great story and quest. Because Kupo FFXI put that limited restriction of classes. I do feel that this private server is a haft ass private server all together.

I give this private server topic a 2/5 stars.
My Opinion they could of included Treasures of Aht Urhga and Wind of Goddess and more story to follow threw and more quest and more classes

Thank you for your input. As mentioned in the original post this is a 2003 era server with only CoP and RoZ expansion. This is the era of the game that we enjoyed I'm sorry that you do not feel the same way. There are plenty of other servers out there that can meet your requirements.

is all good...but I did tested every private server of ff11. but they dont know what there going and all there server been causing some crashes and each there server area keep going offline.

yes you do have nice server not gonna lie but dude would be so cool if you did bring back the rest of the two expansion, this way we can enjoy all the classes. you can still set up thing they way you have but have both Treasures of Aht Urhga and Wind of Goddess quest and there classes open with the classes of Bluemage, puppetmaster , Corsair , dancer and scholar classes

all you have do is bring them back but keep all the setting the way you had it for CoP and RoZ expansion and include other two and still make nostalgic
