Yeah low exp servers can't survive anymore and no one wants to play a server with like 5 people on. But that's exactly the problem here. We need the 100-200 people on at any time, as opposed to our current 15 (7 of whom are afk with shops open). 500x would work best imo because 1000x is still a lot. Their current counter-argument is that too many people afk and the server is no longer fun. We can put GM's on afk duty that shouldn't be too much of a problem if they conduct rounds. But yeah I'm going to list all the things I would recommend changed, run them by you, you run them by Dios, and we bring them to the people in charge of the server. Dosen't Dios run his own server right now?
Dios should really put his thoughts in, he's been running a server for years...
As would I. Only problem with global mu/ low rate servers is the grinding in the mid lvls... Which is why low rate servers usually never last. My favorite one I ever played was 500x Back in the day when I ran Fireball Mu we were a 500x server with 1000x on the weekends. 97d with a good 100-200 people on at any given time.
That's perfect. I will start one up as soon as i get a couple people in-game to tell me what they want to see. There are too many kiddies now a days just wanting there to be no challenge. I would kill for a 15x server tbh.
If I remember right Ex likes low xp... like 15x or so. I've said 1k xp this hole time. Shuts people up from both ends. So if there is ever a thread point me to it and I'll add my two cents.
Yeah I know MU on Macs gets messy. I downloaded Parallels Desktop so I could try and run it but nothing. You have to install windows through bootcamp and play the game through that. Too much work lol. The experience is 5000x. I started playing last week, and I'm sitting here with a maxed out character. They said they tried 200x experience and it didn't work, so I am saying try 1000x. It's not going to be as slow as last time, but it won't be as fast as it currently is. Becoming maxed out can actually be a challenge as opposed to getting it done in no time. Items and drops are good. They have managed to make zen important on the server, and even though Bok's 1-3 are in the shops, their price and the smaller zen drops from mobs actually evens everything out in the end. Ex will know what I'm talking about. Unless he's one of the people that loves being done with a game as soon as he starts it.
What up. I'd play more, but I'm on my mac again. I only use my PC when I'm traveling. So what side do you site on everything? I can't play but I can get the ball rolling on things. Exy is now playing so he'll have major pull as well.
