  1. Haha. Good to hear that. Well about FAT32/NTFS. Use NTFS because it can hold larger files. And about stability... No difference in stability between FAT32 and NTFS. But anyway go with NTFS. It's better/newer.

About Ubuntu. You can google the official site of Ubuntu and download it there, burn CD and then boot/install from it. It is very easy. You can also get a free Ubuntu CD by mail witch I recommend to do. Though it will come only after 2 weeks or so, but it is very usefull.
  2. ok I think I can get ubuntu working after googling for a long time.. Most ppl put it on drives with windows already installed.. I don't have windows anymore.. got rid of it and reformatted to NTFS. It's stil compatable for FAT32 though.. I'm going to try avoid using FAT*** I heard it was unstable with Linux (and windows.. but when isn't windows unstable?) I hope it works :) I found an install file
  3. ty very much. I think I found out how to instal it on the hard drive. The drive used to have windows, but I unistalled it and reformatted it and it's fully compatable with FAT*** NTSF, and a bunch of other things. I don't know much about it, but I think I can get it working now after googling for a month or so lol.. And I'm sticking with ubuntu ty ty ty
  4. Go with Ubuntu. It is the best choice for Linux starters because it is kinda easy to use it. And it is fast-growing linux distro. One of the fastest in the world. If you have any further questions about Ubuntu or Linux in general message me.
  5. I'm trying to get a linux working.. and I can't really get it installed on the Hard Drive. I have my choices between Ubuntu, Gnome, Damn Small Linux (I don't want this.. but I like the idea), or anything available.. I'm not committed to any OS yet. Never done this before, I know you work with Linux, and I'd be very appreciative if you could give me a hand?
