Man, that was a really long time ago; I hardly remember everything I had to do or all the problems I experienced... I don't recall having your issue though, so the best advice I could give would just relate to the standard issues brought with changing versions: make sure your opcodes (for charlist(send) and the charlistrequesthandler(recv)) are updated, make sure the packet itself is writing correct data (even if it does not d/c you, the byte ordering could be wrong). Oh, and before touching the packet itself, make sure it is sent in the first place! Good luck.
