Right now I am using version 1.02q, but versions 1.01e and 97d have also been tested. It will probably work with any version as long as the version of the server files match the client.

You have to get the server and client files from the RELEASE section, NOT the Guides section.

Here are links to find client and server files. You may have to search to find links that work. The Seeitworks website has fairly reliable links.

I set it up running WinXP SP2. I don't have any machines running Vista, so have no way of testing it on Vista. But it is confirmed to work on WinXP SP2 with MU versions 1.02q, 1.01e, and 97d.

Here is the link to the guide I wrote for running an MU server and client on the same machine with NO internet connection and playing MU in a single-player "offline" mode. It is tested and verified to work 100% with no errors. Follow the guide exactly and it will work.

Heya, well my suggestion is that, u shud not try to host a server with laptop, cuz it heats up quite fast :p
And well, u need to open/forward some ports, as they are shown in the guide, (to let others connect to ur server)
Then u need to configure IP's right, and thats pretty much it
