Any errors when you start l2 npc server? How many npc's does it show it spawned? Also Your geodatas may be bad and the mobs are falling through the ground. Might want to check these out. And for the GG, there was a patch posted around here... try searching.

To run it for a small amount of people you'll need 1 gig or ram and maybe a 2.6ghz processor. For a decent server I recommend 4 gigs of ram and maybe dual processors. Look at getting two fast drives and put them on raid 0.
