If I understand correctly this is a general purpose library with some helper functionality for building MMO servers in general, and one would need to implement a kal (or other) game server upon it?

Both of the projects which got anywhere have some serious flaws (one of which being the language - C# isn't such a bad choice but it limits the platform - I'd much rather start from scratch with good design in mind than continue development of something like that)

Thanks for the explanation, I had imagined Cloudflare's DDoS protection worked on a similar premise as the proxy IP model. Looks like for real time communication (like kal) the hardware firewall is the way to go.

I agree completely, a well built commander is one of the best classes if played right. If you gear right you will do awesome damage with regular hits and crit/eb and regenerate health faster than anyone can take it off you. I think the only class that can one up is a well geared IC high enough...

theoretically could one not get a CloudFlare business account and run their kal server over port 80? You must be registered for see element. Correct me if I'm wrong, I know very little in this department.

Does Cloudflare not provide TCP/UDP protection on specified ports?
