i followed your guild exactly and they dont work, then i noticed that number 10 and number 11 are the exact same java ,nothing different but anyway it wont verify or anything like that
I will test it wehn i'am Home. I will corect if anything are wrong.
is a syntax typo, 11 is like "AFTER you run java bla bla blah, copy back to game folder launcher.exe and patcher.exe"
it dont work for me then

if there was a video that would really help oh and my server is 1.5.1 not 1.3.6
works for any server, 1.3.x to last one.
in fact is easy to make it works, i use it on 1.5.1 and ethersaga.
i use it this way:
1 and 2, the same way, dload and extract to your desktop or whatever you want
next, install java on your pc ( i dont make the patchs on the server, i do it on my pc and upload the patch to the server)
next create the db using phpmyadmin (on your server) (remember to check if mysql accepts remote connections)
next run java -jar -Xmx256m pw-cpw.jar install
input all the data, like your db ip, id, pass, etc
next In the folder /files/CPW/info edite the file PID and put inside the number on this file (w/e your client is instaled/patcher/server, next open file pid.ini, you see inside something like pid=131, then put 131 AND ONLY the number, not any letter or anything)
copy launcher.exe and patcher.exe to cpw folder
run java -jar -Xmx256m pw-cpw.jar x Launcher.exe patcher.exe at cpw folder (same place where your launcher and patcher are)
let java edit and change the RSA key inside launcher and patcher
copy back launcher and patcher to your client
then you must do something missing on this guide (i realise it right now) java -jar -Xmx256m pw-cpw.jar initial (this create a empty version 1 patch)
and opy the folder cpw at your webserver (like http://mypwserver.com/CPW) copy all inside cpw folder on your pc to the folder cpw in your webserver
server side is all done
now client side
edit pacther/server/updateserver.txt to your server(must be like "mypatch" "http://mypwserver.com/CPW/") dont forget the last /
at config/element/version.sw edit it and change all values to 1 0 (only that 1 and 0)
at config/patcher/version.sw edit ti and put 1 (only 1)
that is all, now your client is version 1, and realy to make patches
to make patch simply put the files you want to update inside files/new (at cpw)
next run java -jar -Xmx256m pw-cpw.jar new (at cpw folder)
and upload your new files/cpw at yopur cpw folder in webserver (what is inside files/cpw to cpw at your webserver)
and done , i know is longer to do this on 2 pcs and not all on one pc (like this guide) but works for me and is fast when you are used to it
it still dont work, i think it is the install problem when it goes to acess mysql server
cant help on mysql on linux (i always use mssql)
but this method works, i use it for 2 different games and ver a problem
awww dang, that sucks , it wont connect to mysql for some odd reason
on same pc or remote pc?
check (i think) etc/mysql/ look for some config file inside
check if bind=127.0.0.1 (for local machine)
add another bind=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (ip of your remote machine)
and restart
did you inport the cpw.sql in your mysql ?
