Lego!!

dont lie, who used to love playing with lego as a child?

i know i did... and i still do :tp:
since i just finnished my exams and school for this year i decided to fork out $100 for a big-ass lego truck today!! :eek:
8 weeks of holidays now and i'm really bored so my schedule will be filled with RZ and lego lol no idea why or how this toy still amuses me at this age, but i'm glad the box says 10+ (i'd be screwed without the "+")
and no, i really could not find anything better to do with the money ^^

well its not just the plain lego blocks, its that lego technic or something but anyway its fun!!
i've been at it for the past 4+ hours and i've still only made 1/2 the chasis/engine.
the most time-consuming is finding the pieces you need, since i just tossed them all into a big box... i'm sure they were in separate bags for a reason ^^

i was jking i used to play with lego all the time, i loved it :P

omg lol i just found a 2nd set of instructions under the box to make the crane/forklift/scoop at the back of the truck :eek: and i'm only still barely through the engine and chasis...
bah too tired to make it now (1:11am) so i'll finnish tomorow morning ^^

i recon once i finnish this i mite go for another lego set!! (had about 3 x 150Litre trunks full of lego that i just sold wen we moved house at our garage sale... got about $250 for all 3 trunks)

I got this F1 i built out of that complex Lego.. It's got like 1500 pieces moving stuff (pistons even move) n bout 60cms long

You can also make it into a truck :D

oh yeah, there is also 15+ lego, but thats a bit high for u lol...

Iam still waiting for the day when ill go into the basement and pull out the huge box (seriously 4ft x 4 ft) filled with all my old legos in it.

I still keep one creation that i made when i was 10 on display in my room, a Mad Cat from BattleTech.

18 working hours later and i've done 1 of the 3 possible truck designs!! (it would have been faster, but some genious *cough*me*cough* decided to throw all the nicely individually wrapped pieces in one box:P)
the crane thing on the back is actually pneumaticly opperated by a mannual pneumatic pump at the side which makes the 2 yellow piston things move the arm! i thought the arm was like completely manual till i saw the pistons which i recon is pretty cool ;)

it does look pretty small in the pic, but its about 30-40cm long.

i shall dessemble the crane/arm and make the other 2 designs (ones a forklift, the others a scoop thing) and i'll post thoes pics too :tp:
then i think i mite get the ferrari set, its supposed to be a 10:1 scale of the real thing!
