Growl Emulator (Wire/Base64, SAEA)
Hello, RaGEZONE. I've recently started developing Growl Emulator.
An emulator which is competing against icewraith's emulator. This is currently targeting the same version as Phoenix is, and will therefore not contain any of the newer games and/or features, though when this is done it will not be hard to update to the new encoding.

icewraith vs Growler. If I'm honest icewraith's so far seems better simply because it's from scratch whereas this is C#, however this is based upon Mango.
Re: Growl Emulator (Wire/Base64, SAEA)
Oh.. It's based on Mango? I didn't even realise. Honey, calm your titties, it's only the sockets ;-)

I'm only assuming.

Yes. If Mango hadn't been around, I would not have been able to use the sockets. Therefore I have credited Matty for Mango.
Re: Growl Emulator (Wire/Base64, SAEA)
Well, I'll see how this turns out.
This looks pretty interesting though. Hopefully we'll be seeing good updates soon.
Re: Growl Emulator (Wire/Base64, SAEA)
I'd like to see where this is going. Hoping that you are going to finish this off, and not just bounce from the earth.

Mango just uses SocketAsync, which you can find on google. If you compare the mango code to a socketasync tutorial, you will notice no changes at all. copypasta ftw. Is this project still going?

Yet another person who doesn't backup their claims.

Here's some nice fact to back me up. http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/...nce-Socket-Cod
Code:
internal void Init()
{
// Allocate one large byte buffer block, which all I/O operations will
//use a piece of. This guards against memory fragmentation.
this.theBufferManager.InitBuffer();
// preallocate pool of SocketAsyncEventArgs objects for accept operations
for (Int32 i = 0; i < this.socketListenerSettings.MaxAcceptOps; i++)
{
// add SocketAsyncEventArg to the pool
this.poolOfAcceptEventArgs.Push(
CreateNewSaeaForAccept(poolOfAcceptEventArgs));
}
Mango isn't a bad emulator, I was js, copypasta ftw.
Re: Growl Emulator (Wire/Base64, SAEA)
If it is working how you want it to and the code is good enough then there's no harm in using a copy and paste.

That's true. But I think knowing the code you've copied doesn't hurt.
